A cutting-edge platform that transforms diabetes management by addressing complex insulin dosing challenges with real-time data integration and advanced algorithms.
The McGill Diabetes Technologies Lab develops algorithms to optimize insulin doses for Type 1 diabetes patients. This project focused on improving patient outcomes and research by creating a platform that could collect, organize, and visualize data, integrate with medical devices, and enable researchers to analyze treatment effectiveness.
We conducted a thorough requirement-gathering process and a comprehensive technology assessment to identify challenges and desired outcomes. Our team developed the euGlide platform, which included mobile and web applications. The mobile app connected wirelessly with medical devices, allowing real-time data collection and insulin dosage adjustments. The platform was designed for ease of use by patients.
The web app provided researchers with a powerful tool for managing studies and participants, allowing visualization of complex datasets through interactive charts and graphs. Data was securely handled and exported for further analysis. The user experience design was a key focus, ensuring accessibility and clarity for both patients and researchers.
